Taylor Knox takes 3rd at Teahupoo, Tahiti in major WCT Event
May 13, 2006 Adio rider Taylor Knox finished 3rd at the infamous Teahupoo in Tahiti. Knox was in form all event finding some perfect left hand barrels and taking out some of the worlds best along the way. With the 3rd place finish Knox jumps up into 3rd on the ASP World Tour ratings. From Teahupoo the tour heads over to Fiji for the fourth stop where Knox will try and continue his strong run and move up even more on the world ratings list. SurfBout Results!
The Body Glove Surfbout presented by Adio Footwear went off on April 25th-29th and in the end Lowers came through once again with great 3-4 ft fun surf. The contest began early in the week with almost no waves in sight. Luckily Lowers always seems to have something on offer. By Friday the swell picked up and we finished off with fun waves for the rest of the event.
The Adio team had a pretty good showing. Starting with Asher Nolan taking 2nd place overall and pocketing $5000 for his efforts. Nate Yeomans just missed out on the finals and finised in 5th place. Both Austin Ware and new Aussie rider Mitch Coleborn had a good run but ended in the quarterfinals. Check out some pics of the Adio team from the event and look for the show to air on Fuel TV this June.
